Time Zone Issues on Registration Page
My organization is located on the East Coast (EST) but are hosting an event on the West Coast (PST). People registering for the event on the West Coast see a start time adjusted for the time difference on the registration page. So an event meant to start at 3 PM PST is showing up as starting at 12 PM. Is there a way to fix this without “lying” about the start time?

Hello Louise Wills
The event time shown on the registration page is based on the Site Guest User’s time zone, not the viewer’s location. If the Site Guest User is set to EST, the event time will display accordingly, which is why a 3:00 PM PST event is appearing as 12:00 PM.
To have the event display correctly in PST, please update the Site’s time zone to West Coast (PST). You can do this by following these steps:
- Go to Setup
- Navigate to User Interface > Sites and Domains > Sites (or just search for "sites" in the quick search area on the left-hand side)
- Click on the Site Label
- Click on Public Access Settings
- Click on View Users
- Click on the Full Name of the site
- Click on Edit
- Update the Site Time Zone to Pacific Time (PST) under Locale Settings.
- Save the changes
Once updated, the event time should display as expected on the event registration page.
Please let us know if you need any help making this change.
