Copy alias data without access to the birthdate field.

I was in live support today and had an issue with copying over alias data, upon reviewing the “Permission issue” which happened to be the birthdate field being the problem and needing access. We need other users to be able to work with aliases and CANNOT give them access to this field. What should / can we do in this case scenario. there was a reason why we removed access to the field. these alias records have NO birthdate information and we do not intend to ever have that information to copy over. we solely need email, phone, name, and address information. Thanks.

  Hello Jaxsen,

  At this time the Birthdate field cannot be removed from the C&P Alias process, however this dependency is being removed in a future update. The permissions can be separated into different profiles to better control permissions, but any users updating contacts through a C&P Alias will need this permission until the update is released.
