Click & Pay Suite application supports Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud (NPC).
What This Means for Your Organization
Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud takes a different approach to fundraising data than the legacy Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP). Salesforce's NPC uses Person Accounts instead of Accounts and Contacts. And rather than using the Opportunity object to track gifts, NPC introduces dedicated fundraising objects designed specifically for the nonprofit giving lifecycle:
- Gift Commitment — Represents a recurring pledge or scheduled giving arrangement. When a donor sets up a recurring gift, NPC records it here.
- Gift Transaction — Represents a one-time, non-recurring donation. This is the primary object for individual, single payments processed through Click & Pay Suite.
This distinction is important for teams migrating from NPSP, where all gifts typically flowed through the Opportunity object. In NPC, opportunities are not used for donation tracking. Click & Pay Suite is built to respect this architecture, routing transactions to the correct NPC object based on whether the gift is recurring or one-time.
SKU and Donation Mapping
One of the most common questions we receive is: "A donation comes in and I have a SKU. How do I map it?"
The good news: Click & Pay Suite's SKU mapping capabilities are fully supported in the NPC integration. Within the NPC settings panel, you have access to the same flexible mapping tools you rely on today, including:
- Campaign SKU mapping
- Form SKU mapping
- Item SKU mapping
These mapping configurations allow your team to tie incoming donations to the correct fund, campaign, or designation within Nonprofit Cloud — preserving the data integrity your finance and development teams depend on.
Navigating NPC Settings
In Click & Pay Suite if you have NPC installed, NPC-specific configuration is available through the Settings panel, found in the second menu item on the left-hand navigation. From there, you can manage gift commitment customizations, define base conditions, and configure how gift transactions are handled.
