The Swiper1 Store turns your mobile device into a portable point-of-sale system. You can sell items at events, galas, festivals, or anywhere your organization takes payments. Before your event, set up your categories and items so everything is ready when you need it.

Create an Item
Items are added under categories. Each item must have a unique name within its category.
In Store Manager, tap Add Item.
Use the following steps to add an item - image below.
- Select the category you want the item placed under.
- Item Name — used internally and on receipts
- Label Name — how the item appears to patrons at checkout
- Inventory (optional) — track stock levels
- Add Picture (optional) — buttons will appear at the bottom of the screen to upload from library, take a photo, or cancel
- Add tax (optional - will only appear if enabled in General Settings)
Add the Price
Use a fixed price when the item is always sold at one or more preset amounts — for example, a tote bag at $20.
Use an open price when the price is to be entered at checkout — for example, the winning bid on an auction item.
- Choose a price type: Fixed Price or Open Price — you can only choose one per item
- For Fixed Price, enter the Item Name (For Open Price instructions, click here)
- Enter the Item Label
- Enter the Price
- Enter the Fair Market Value (FMV) - optional, will only appear if enabled in General Settings
Options to add SKU and GAU, as well as and end date — the start date is prepopulated, but may be changed
- Tap Add Price
- ⚠️The price will be shown at the top of the screen — Add up to 5 additional price(s) as needed
- Tap Done when finished
Add Options
Options allow you to offer variations of an item — for example size or color. Selecting an option is required when options are available: patrons cannot complete a purchase without choosing one.
ℹ️ Note: Options can also be used for add-ons, such as framing. Because a selection is always required, set up two options: one for the base item (for example, "Unframed") and one that includes the enhancement (for example, "Framed +$15"). The patron must choose one.
- After tapping Done a popup will appear asking if you want to add options — to add options tap Yes
- Enter the option type, for example: size, color, or framing
💡Tip: once an option type has been created, it becomes available in the pulldown menu. Thus, if the option is "size" and you have 6 sizes to enter, you can select "size" as the option type rather than re-entering the word. The Option Type is like a category, it must be created first, then you apply the specific options to your item.
- Enter the option name
- Add optional image if needed
- Add additional price if applicable
- Add additional amount to be included in the Fair Market Value (FMV) if applicable. Optional, will only appear if enabled in General Settings.
- Click Save Changes
- Option will appear at the bottom of the screen
- Add more options as needed
- Tap Done when finished
The item will appear in the category list with a checkmark in the circle — this means it is Active and will appear in your store. Uncheck it to deactivate the item without deleting it.
Tap on the item to edit the item, price, and/or options. Additional Prices and Options may also be added.
This is what the item will look like in the public facing store:
Open Price items
Use an open price when patrons enter their own amount within a range — for example, a donation of any amount between $10 and $500, or the winning bid on an auction item.
- Enter a Minimum and Maximum price.
- Enter a Fair Market Value (FMV) in dollars if applicable. FMV fields can be enabled in General Settings.
- Optionally assign a SKU and/or GAU.
- Optionally set Start and End Dates.
- Add up to 6 suggested amounts if needed.
- Tap Done to return to the item screen, then tap Save Changes.

In the cart you can:
- Adjust quantities using the − and + buttons.
- Tap Continue Shopping to return to the store and add more items.

ℹ️ Note: The cart shows a Tax-deductible amount based on the difference between the item price and its Fair Market Value (FMV). If FMV is $0.00, the full amount is shown as tax deductible. This will only appear if enabled in General Settings.
💡Tip: Items with inventory tracking will be hidden automatically when stock runs out if Hide out-of-stock products is enabled in General Settings.
