Automatic Primary Campaign Source Settings
If you do not want to create a Salesforce Campaign for each Campaign you create in CONNECT, Click & Pledge can create a Salesforce Campaign and map the CONNECT Campaign transaction to it. To do this, check the 'Default Settings' box under Automatic Primary Campaign Source Settings and click the 'Save Default Setting' button.
NOTE: When Click & Pay is installed in your Production instance the Default Setting box is checked. Please remove the check mark if you would like to set the mapping rather than have Click & Pledge set it for you.
This ensures all campaign names are unique. It creates a Salesforce Campaign with a unique name that uses CONNECT Campaign Alias and Campaign name (Note: The Campaign Name will be truncated after 80 characters).
Other Settings
1. Donors giving to a Fundraiser or Team Member will become a member of all Campaigns in the hierarchy.
2. A Fundraiser will become a member of Team and Parent Campaign.
3. Salesforce Campaign will use the "Start Date", End Date" and "Goal" that are included in CONNECT Campaign Details > Basic Information.
a. Will only update for the first recurring in a series.
TRANSACTION CAMPAIGN
The Transaction Campaign mapping rules will assign a Salesforce Campaign to the overall transaction. The patrons will be added to the Campaign as members. The Transaction Campaign alone does not look at opportunities.
Opportunities will come in to play if you check the 'Assign as default Opportunity Primary Campaign' box, and the name of the Campaign you are mapping to will be added to the Primary Campaign Source field on the Opportunity.
PRIMARY CAMPAIGN SETTINGS
Primary Campaign Settings rules look at the item. Primary Campaign mapping rules will add the donor to the Campaign as a member and the Campaign Name will be added to the Primary Campaign Source field on the Opportunity.
There may be times when you need to map one transaction to two Salesforce Campaigns. You may do this using the 'Add Tracker Condition". Check the box to enable, select your condition, and add the name of the Tracker. For more information refer to CONNECT: URL Parameters
Note: If your organization uses Teams or Fundraisers, mapping rules must be set up in the corresponding Teams or Fundraisers tabs. Without these rules, transactions from those sources will fail to map correctly and may trigger errors.
CUSTOM FUNDRAISER CAMPAIGN
When you add mapping rules for Fundraisers, the mapping will create a child campaign for each Fundraiser
CUSTOM TEAM CAMPAIGN
When you add mapping rules for Teams, the mapping will create a child campaign for each Team

EVENT MANAGEMENT CAMPAIGN MAPPING
The Click & Pay Suite Settings customizations are the last step of the process for configurations and may override other settings, e.g. Events.
If you make changes at Settings in Opportunity, Campaign, etc. make sure they are consistent for transactions that originate through other Click & Pledge applications like Event Management.
For example, in Event Management you create Opportunities, assign Campaigns, etc. Be aware that configurations in Click & Pay Suite Settings will overrule them. Setup mapping under Settings > Campaigns > Primary.
