This article helps to know the process of finding the attendees who are not in the auctions and but in events and importing them to Auctions from Events.
The following provides step-by-step instructions for exporting & importing the attendee information:
Step 1: Click on the desired event in C&P Event Management. In the dashboard of the event, click on “Attendee Information” under Reports section. You will be redirected to the page where you will find “Download full report” button. Click on it to download the attendee information. Make sure none of the attendees were in the C&P Temporary Contacts.
Step 2: Go to Auctions and select the desired Auction from the list.
Then select “Auction Attendees” from the Campaigns to know the campaign ID.
Step 3: Download the Import template: Import_CnP_AttendeeS_into_AuctionS.csv
Bid Number: Give the unique Bid number manually.
Campaign ID: Enter the campaign ID for the Attendees list.
Contact ID: It will be available in the full report of Attendee Information (Step: 1)
Is Table Captain: If the person is a table captain, set this to “TRUE” and if they are not, set it to “FALSE”.
Status: If they attended, this should say “RSVP Yes”. If they were invited but did not attend, set it to “RSVP No”.
Table Captain: Assign the table captain’s contact ID to the captain and his members.
Table Name: Enter the table name of each attendee.
Step: 4 Insert the records through the Salesforce Data Loader (Setup > Administration Setup > Data Management > Data Loader).
Click on “Insert” button.
Enter the username (Salesforce Instance’s username), password (Password+security token) and click on Log in. Then click on “Next” button.
Enable the checkbox for “Show all Salesforce objects”and select “Campaign Member (CampaignMember)” from the list. Upload the .CSV file of Auctions Attendees (Step: 3) and click on “Next” button.
Select “Create or Edit a Map” button and click “Next”.
Auto-match the fields and match the Table Captain Contact ID with “GW_Auction_Table_Captain_c”. Click OK.
Select the directory where your success and error files will be saved and click on “Finish”. You will see the success and error files.
