Several customization options are available for creating opportunities with each transaction. The following summarizes each option.

Navigation to Opportunity
To navigate to the Opportunity Settings go to Launcher icon > Settings > Opportunity
BASIC TAB
STAGE
Each Opportunity's stage may be set based on the transaction response or type. Stages may also be set manually.
For example:
Declined Transactions: Closed Lost
DEFAULT LEAD SOURCE
The default "Lead Source" may be set for each transaction processed through Click & Pledge.
The lead source may be customized per SKU in the Custom Mapping tab.
OPPORTUNITY SETTLEMENT
New Opportunities may be created for settlement in the future. Stages set in this section will filter opportunities under the Contact record with a button for manual settlement.
Manually settling an opportunity will use the opportunity for the new transaction and will not result in the creation of a new opportunity.
To access the manual opportunity option, add the following page to the Contact Layout.

In this section move the Stages you want to include for opportunity settlement from the Available box to the Selected Box
Click SAVE when all options have been updated.
OWNERSHIP
Here you may assign the owner for Opportunities as they are created.
Click the “+ NEW” button to create a new Opportunity Ownership or select from the Action list on an existing Record Type
You may alter record type by selecting one of the following:
Campaign SKU: This SKU is assigned in the CONNECT Campaign under Campaign Details > Basic Information > Campaign SKU
Form SKU: This SKU is assigned in the CONNECT Campaign while editing a form in Form Builder under Settings > General Settings > Form SKU

Item SKU: This SKU may be assigned in several places. They are:

Recurring Installment: You may create Opportunities based on recurring installments.
Service Fee: Use this to create opportunities for reversals, i.e., credits, chargebacks, ACH returns, chargeback/return fees.

Transaction Campaign - Enter the name of the Transaction Campaign you would like the opportunity to be created for.
Condition selections will change depending on the “Based On” Option selected.

Opportunity/Product List
Here you will set the criteria for the creation of Opportunities & Opportunity Products.
Opportunity creation may be based on:
Campaign SKU: This SKU is assigned in the CONNECT Campaign under Campaign Details > Basic Information > Campaign SKU
Form SKU: This SKU is assigned in the CONNECT Campaign while editing a form in Form Builder under Settings > General Settings > Form SKU
Item Price: Unit price of the item in the transaction. This may be used for zero-dollar transactions by setting the Create Type to “Do Not Create.”

Payment Method: You may create the opportunity based on the payment method used. The payment method(s) available for selection in the Payment Method field are determined by the Payment Methods set up in CONNECT.
Recurring Installment: You may create Opportunities based on recurring installments.

Transaction result: Use this to create opportunities for Authorized and Declined transactions
Condition selections for fields following “Based On” will change depending on the “Based On” Option selected.
Creation Type may be set to:
- Opportunity Name (Required): When you are combining multiple items into one opportunity, enter the name of the new opportunity. For example, if you are combining the donation and the additional fee into one opportunity, you could call it "Donation and Fee."
- Opportunity SKU: you may assign a SKU to the new opportunity.
Do Not Create – use this when you do not wish to create an opportunity, e.g., do not create for a declined transaction.
Opportunity – create an Opportunity
Product – create an Opportunity Product
Select the Opportunity / Product Amount. Options are:
- Gross Amount
- Gross Amount – Discount
- Gross Amount – Discount + Tax
If desired, set the Start Date and End Date. These fields are not required.
Click SAVE when all options have been updated.
CONTACT ROLE
Contact Roles may be set for each Opportunity based on:

Check the “Primary” box to see the primary contact.
If desired, set the Start Date and End Date. These fields are not required.
Click SAVE when all options have been updated.
NOTE: To edit the Contact Role list, click the setup gear in the upper right corner. In the quick find box, enter Contact Roles. You will see options for Contact Role for Contacts and Opportunities.
CUSTOMIZE NAME
Check the box to enable customized Opportunity Names and add rules to set conditions for formatting the name and standardize how the Opportunity names are recorded. Remember that NPSP (Nonprofit Success Pack) provides a custom naming feature as well, and determine which naming feature will work best for your organization,
Click the “+ NEW” button to create a new Opportunity Name Customization or select Edit from the Action list on an existing Record Type
You may Customize the Name of the Opportunity based on the following:
