Video: Become a Fundraiser
SIGN UP AS A NEW FUNDRAISER
Using the link sent to you by the organization you are fundraising for, open the page and click on “Become a Fundraiser”.
Click FUNDRAISE INDIVIDUALLY.
You may Sign up with Facebook, Google, or by using your email address.
LOGIN/SIGN UP WITH EMAIL
- Enter your email address
- Click Login/Sign up with Email.
- An email will be sent to the address you provided asking you to verify your email address.
- In the email sent by Connect Responder, click Verify Your Email.
- Enter your First Name.
- Enter your Last Name.
- Enter your Alias Name. The Alias Name is unique to you. It is used for all fundraising you do on this platform and once created, it may not be changed.
- Click Submit.
You are now in your Fundraiser Profile.
LOGIN AS AN EXISTING FUNDRAISER
To login to your Fundraiser Profile, go to the page of the organization you are fundraising for (where you clicked become a fundraiser).
Click on the icon of a person in the upper right hand corner, then click on Fundraiser Login.
Enter the email address and click Login/Sign up with Email.
Check your email for the verification code, enter the code, and click Login.
FUNDRAISER PROFILE
When you first arrive in your Fundraiser Profile, you will see it includes your First Name, Last Name, Email, and Alias information.
- You may enter your phone number or leave it blank. The phone number is not currently used but will be used in a future release.
- Upload an image for your fundraiser page.
- Check the box for the image acknowledgement
- Save your settings
- Click on My Dashboard in the menu on the left. Instructions for customizing are in the following section.
FUNDRAISER DASHBOARD
- All Campaigns you are a Fundraiser for are shown on your Dashboard. Under the Campaign image, you may click the icon under the image to copy the link to your Fundraiser page and share it with your friends and family.
- Click on View page for a preview of the page your friends and family will see.
- Customize your page allows you to add additional information to your page. Details for this page are given below.
- This will copy the link to your fundraising page so you can share it with your friends and family.
- Teams you created and manage and teams you are a member of are found here.
- This section includes a list of donations received and donations made to your fundraiser page.
CUSTOMIZE YOUR PAGE
CAMPAIGN PROFILE
- Across the top are your fundraising statistics for this Campaign.
- Share with your connections: You may share the link to your fundraising page by clicking on the copy icon, the Facebook button, the Twitter button, or the Email button
- Fundraising goal: A fundraising goal has been set by the organization you are raising funds for. You may edit this amount.
- My Bio/Statement: Share with your connections why you are raising funds for this organization.
- My Story: Add additional information or give updates on your fundraising activities.
- Save settings you have made to your Campaign Profile
- Teams For This Campaign: This is a list of Teams that have been created for the Campaign you are viewing.
- Click on the Team Name to see the team information.
- The checkmark indicates the team(s) you are a member of
- The star indicates the team(s) you are the Captain of
- If you are a Team captain, click the edit icon to edit the team information
- Click the plus sign to join a team
- Click the Create team button to create a team (see details below)
- Thank your Donors: This section provides a list of your donors.
- Personalize message: The organization you are raising funds for has created a Thank You message for donors. You may customize the message you want to send your donors by clicking on the Personalize message button.
- Preview: This is a preview of your personal fundraising page.
- Download Report: You may download a report of your donations.
CREATE TEAM
Click the Create team button to create a Team.- Team Name: Enter the name of your team
- Team Fundraising Name: Enter the fundraising goal for your team.
- Team Members Default Fundraising Goal: Enter the fundraising goal for each member of your Team
- Team members default profile message: Enter a message from your Team to your donors telling them why your team is raising funds for this organization.
- Team Story: Add additional information about your team using text and images.
- Team logo: Upload your Team’s logo. Be sure to check the box for the logo/image acknowledgement.
- Set additional permissions for Team management.
- Save settings
- On your Dashboard, click on the tab "Teams I am a Member of"
- Click the Team name to go to the Team Dashboard
- Across the top are the Team fundraising statistics for this Campaign.
- Share with your connections: You may share the link to your fundraising page by clicking on the copy icon, the Facebook button, the Twitter button, or the Email button.
- This is the Team Captain and the Team Members.
- Click the edit icon next to your name to edit your team information
- You may change your Team Fundraising Goal
- You may personalize the "Team members default profile message:".
- Save any changes you make.
- To invite friends to join your team, click the "Invite people" button
- You are able to see the Team ranking.
- Team Captain Announcements. You may message the Team Captain by clicking the "Message team captain" button.
- If the Team Captain sends a message to the Team, it will appear here.
- This is a list of your donors. Click the "Personalize Message" button to edit the thank you message for your donors.
- You may Preview your Fundraiser page here.
- You may download a report of transactions your donors have made.
TEAM CAPTAIN ACCESS TO TEAM DASHBOARD
- On your Dashboard, click on the tab "Teams I am a Member of"
- Click the Team name to go to the Team Dashboard
- Across the top are the Team fundraising statistics for this Campaign.
- Share with your connections: You may share the link to your fundraising page by clicking on the copy icon, the Facebook button, the Twitter button, or the Email button.
- This is the Team Captain and the Team Members.
- If you and your team would like to participate in more than one campaign for this organization, Click the "Add team to more campaigns" button.
- You may remove team members by clicking on the "X".
- To invite others to join your team, click the "Invite people" button. Your team members may also invite others to join.
- You are able to see the Team ranking.
- Team Captain Announcements. You may message the team by clicking the "Add" button.
- If a team sends a message to the team captain, it will appear here.
- This is a list of your donors. Click the "Personalize Message" button to edit the thank you message for your donors.
- You may Preview the Team page here.
- You may download a report of transactions donors have made.
TEAM CAPTAIN ACCESS TO TEAM PROFILE
- Select how you will accept team members, Public (anyone can join), Moderated (users must be approved by your organization), Private (only fundraisers who are invited may join).
- Enter the name of your team.
- Select when or if fundraising will stop.
- Share the story about your team.
- Enter the message patrons will see if they try to access this page after this fundraiser is over.
- Assign Permissions.
- Enter the fundraising goal for the team.
- Enter the fundraising goal for the team member.
- Enter the team member default profile message. The team member can edit this message.
- Add an image for your team. Check the box on the acknowledgement.
- Update the settings.
